Food

Todays thoughts are being blogged from Horsham (3.5 hours north-west of Melbourne) where I ministering with Box Hill Citadel Band for the weekend...

a Jesus thought...
It is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Luke 5:31)

a Godly thought...
Jesus entrusted this apostolic community "to proclaim the message". This was not a therapy group but a community tackling the status quo with a message that could cost its members their lives. (p131 Barker)

a leading thought...
The spiritual leader's task is to move people from where they are to where God wants them to be. (p20 Blackaby)

a Dave thought...
Food got Jesus into trouble more than anything else, not so much what he ate or when he ate it, but rather who he ate with. Last night I got to eat with some strangers in Horsham and really enjoyed it, but I didn't get in trouble for it.
We all have 3 opportunites a day to get into trouble by eating with the wrong crowd, make the most of it!

Just a thought.
