a Jesus thought...
Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? (Mark 12:24)
a Godly thought...
Jesus keeps letting us know that how we make and spend our resources is a litmus test of what we most value. (p33 Barker)
a leading thought...
It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself. (Eleanor Roosevelt)
a Dave thought...
I love this scripture from Mark - 12:24, because Jesus makes it really simple what we need to know - 1. the Scriptures and 2. the power of God. The reason this is one of the greatest statements Jesus said is if we focus on one without the other we will never become the disciples Jesus had in mind. Some of us at times just quote scripture and make the gospel very legalistic and lose the sense that God can actually show up at all, while others dwell on the whole pentecostal phenonema but would not know what the scriptures actually say. So I encourage you in your journey to go places you have never had the courage to go before. For some it may be to read His word deeper and for others it may be to pray willingly and to see God do miracles today.

Dave,
It's so simple, that we forget. There is power in Prayer, power in God's Word and power in fellowship with our Triune God. Thanks for your Godly wisdom and for how you disciple people through this blog. Under Christ's blood,
Stobes!!
